Thirty Years of Office Cleaning.

How the Procare performance bond is crucial to their success.

This year Office Cleaning Management company Procare Bedford celebrates 30 years of service to the business community in the management of office cleaning contracts.

Thirty years ago the concept of cleaners investing their own money as a "Performance Bond" in a cleaning contract was quite novel and was treated with suspicion by cleaners and clients alike. However the system stood the test of time and the company has grown steadily in spite of turbulent trading periods.

Operating office cleaning in Beds, Bucks, Herts, Northants and Coventry, the Bedfordshire based company administers contracts for cleaners and has an enviable record of client satisfaction and cleaning contractor longevity of service.

The family run business was started by Mrs Elizabeth Farrow and is now presided over by her son Andrew. Both believe in leading by example and have worked in all departments of the business including the sharp end of rolling up their sleeves and going to clean. The dedicated office staff of seven have, between them, clocked up 115 years of service, their wealth  of knowledge and experience in running the business has proved invaluable. However, credit for the sustained growth of the business must mainly go to the Procare cleaning contractors.

Procare invest in ambitious people who are seeking permanent work and offer them the opportunity to set themselves up as independent cleaning operatives. To show their commitment to the work they must be willing to place a performance bond on each cleaning contract they work on.

Managing Director Andrew Farrow, said “We are frequently asked ‘why should a cleaner pay to go out to clean?’.  The answer is simple, the cleaner gets the lions share of the payment made by the client for the cleaning service. Instead of being at the back of the queue they are at the front.”

As was said at the beginning, a novel idea..
