Next Four Years Promising for the Facilities Management Marketplace

Cleaned Reception AreaAccording to the latest research, things are looking up for facilities management in the UK over the next four years to 2017. A report has been published by a market research firm that has pointed to a rise from £106.3 billion to £117 billion over the years from 2013 to 2017. The research uses the 2012 figure of £106.3 billion as a starting point.

The effect of outsourcing

The increase in growth in this sector is thought to be partly due to the trend for outsourcing. Companies that are able to offer integrated services and options that provide several solutions all rolled into one are thought to have more chance of achieving a higher level of success.

The research also points to an opportunity to expand outsourcing within the public sector: something that has not been seen en-masse in the past. All in all the estimated figure for outsourcing services in the next four years is expected to rise by approximately 9% overall.
